Kabul now under attack..proabaly from US planes..dont know at the moment.

This strike is not a united states attack, i'm presuming it's one of the members of the NATO.

Some reports are saying it's part of Civil War in Afghanistan.

Please post facts when you know them, people - not wild conjecture. The US is unlikely to have reacted so swiftly without knowing who is responsible. - however, no-one can rule this - or other possibilities - out until it is known for sure.

Some "facts"...

Explosions were described as very similar to those formed by cruise missiles seen in the gulf war. Also it was "confirmed" i think by CNN that missiles were used, but whose is unknown....

But there was alot of anti-aircraft tracer fire, which definitely points to the US or NATO.... the rebels not really having an airforce.

I've a 3 year old son...he means the world to me......
His name is Cathal (Ahmed)...I really hope bombs dont hit my building...I dont agree what the Taliban are doing...I'm afraid to speak out.....I dont know if Terrorists from Afghanistan are resposible for the atroicity in the States...
If they are I hope some help comes our way..

Well tbh id doubt its the civil war , Northern Alliance forces are fairly primitive in comparison to the Taliban *supplimented by Pakistan* . More to the point is the sheer idiocy of bombing Kabul , which is by all accounts little more than a few huts and Roadblocks , The old phrase "Bombing them back to the stone age" doesnt really sound all that hard . Its awful that the americas need to feel they need to respond with inparticular violence at Peasants half way around the world ,theres not a chance of BinLaden being in Kabul ...Its an awful cycle of violence that doesnt show any sign of slowing down

I think that we all could use a bit of compassion. And my CO just told me to tell my troops that we are not the ones bombing the Afghani's...

And that is non-classified information, btw, so tell everyone you know.

US Officials have officially and publicly denied any involvement in the unrest and explosions in Afghanistan, live on a TV broadcast carried by CNN and FOX News and relayed worldwide. They said (and I'm quoting from memory / para-phrasing here...) : "the US Government has absolutely nothing to do with the explosions in Kabul."

I hope things improve for you Nemesis, and that you and yours get through this difficult time safely.

Taliban was armed, trained and funded by the US during the Soviet Invasion of Afgahistan....

Mucha Deen (Northern Alliance) was also armed and trained by US later in the war....

The Muchadeen r the ones that r sheltering Osama bin Laden

the americans did bomb them last night with cruise missles.
just thought id post it up as no one else seems to have, or you havent heard.
kinda interesting.
military and government targets only is all i heard.
it took up about 20 seconds of airtime.

no, no mix up.
they definately said that it was american cruise missles.
unless their info was correct.
i can t find anything on it anywhere though.
