Online survey companies - do you really earn money!

Was wondering has anyone registered with online survey companies who say you can earn a couple hundred dollars a week. Have checked out a few sites but you have to pay a registration fee - I was wondering is this a scam or can you actually make money from these sites!

The ones I saw were mainly American - I've registered with the Irish ones and they don't charge a fee.

An example of a site I looked at was www.surveyscout.com - they charge $35 to join. But their site says you can earn $150 an hour! Just sounds too good to be true...

Anyone been there, done that, got the cash :D

They're a scam. Stay away from them. You won't make any money from it.

They just want your personal details to sell onto other companies.

Some of scams of course but there are ones out there that do pay money, the thing is which one is which, thats why I've always stayed away from them.

I registered with a crowd called www.thats-what-i-think.co.uk they send me e-mails every few weeks/months to fill out a survey on Movies/Cinema, They offer points that can be redeemed against Amazon.co.uk...

So far I've redeemed £15 worth and am close to getting another £10 but probably not for a few weeks or so (hopefully before Christmas)

Also if you sign up a few mates you get a % of their points (Pyramid style :-)).

I got a €20 Virgin voucher from them for a drinks survey they sent out a few weeks ago. It's been quiet since then.

Don't like the idea of giving them your home/Mobile phone numbers.
