I having a problem with a DIVx clip I am trying to play on a laptop through its tv out. While I can see the clip in divx format on my laptop but not on the TV.
All I can see is a mirror image of what I see on my laptop except only a black screen where the clip should be!! Anybody any ideas?

And by the way I can watch clips/movies perfectly if converted into .VOB format.

If your using windows media player 10, theres a new bug with it where the video will only be displayed on the primary monitor. The video window is black if you move it to the secondary.

Use a different app to play the clip.

It could be something to do with the 'Overlay' settings in your graphics driver, have a mess around with those. I think with Nvidia ones anyway, there's some kind of setting for whether overlay should be on primary or secondary display etc. Ideally though you should really just use one display at a time, switching between TV and monitor as needed.

Just sorted it, I went to display properies\multiple monitors (using latest omega drivers on radeon 9000) and turned off the laptop monitior, and no problem with viewing the clip. Cheers guys for the help
