Cardbus / PCMCIA Firewire & USB Card...

Thinking of buying this: http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=119015&cks=SER since my laptop doesn't have firewire and only has one USB port.

The thing is though, that the card comes with a AC Adaptor. Not a huge problem (although it'd be neater without it), but can anyone suggest if it's a good or bad thing? I know the deal with USB is that some devices draw power from the port and using a whole bunch of them (say, on an unpowered USB Hub) is "un-doable"...

Is firewire the same? Will I always need to use the AC Adaptor, or only when using a "few" unpowered Firewire / USB devices with this card? Or is it all just something to do with the current supplied from the laptop?

    Thanks in advance, guys.

    -S
