Why Are You Capitalising The Beginning Of Every Word, Can You Not See How Annoying That Is?

No it's not fair particularily if he was on company business, but such is life. Unless the company specifically told him that he would be paid or it's in his contract there's not much he can do except look for another job with a company that treats their employees better.

i would have assumed that his company would tell; him that if he was attending then he would lose half a days pay, otherwise, if he is asked to go to the golf by his company, i think he is safe to assume they will continue to pay him.

id find out the exact circumstances, and what was said.

Was he "invited" or "asked to"? Two very different things in this case.
