Where is the best place to look for these?
Is there better value to buy locally (Dublin) or on the web ?
    Potential Christmas present!

Please use [REQUEST] in the title if you are requesting a bargain and not promoting one.... :(

Hmmm, caveat emptor on ebay. There's some being sold there right now only available to Ireland at a frankly ludicrously low price. Interestingly the buyer doesn't accept paypal, wants cash transfer or Western Union - two of the 'not recommended' ways of payment.

Didn't respond to my email asking 'why so cheap' either.... And bizarrely he/she has a really good track record. BUt what looks to good to be true is nearly always too good to be true.....

    Watch out!

That said, my ex bought 2 iPods from the US on ebay without any hassle at all.

cowon, iriver, creative etc. check out this forum. ipods cost so much since the marketing has costed an absolute fortune, so much so that a lot of people now think that the generic name for mp3 player is "an ipod", takes a lot of cash to do that! that could have been spent giving you a decent battery, sound quality, and good earphones instead

check here for review. cowon x5l looks good
