What is your favourite TV channel and why?
I hope this will provoke some interesting chit chat, see how it goes.

I would have to say.............UKTV People for 1 reason alone, they have Top Gear on like 4 times a day :D. I am sure im gonna have seen all the episodes soon, but i enjoy it so much i think ill just watch them all again. Hell i think iv seen every episode of Friends at least 3 times, E4 just plugs that show and doesnt stop  .

I like E4 now that Big Brother is over, Paramount shows good programmes like That 70s Show,Frasier,Two and a Half Men(Can sometimes be shi'ite),Seinfeld, ITV2 has things like The Frank Skinner show, Spin City(again can be crap),Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned and shows decent movies quite a bit, Sky1 just cause of the simpsons, futurama and they used to show family guy which hopefully will return, TG4 has The O.C. first which is good, RTE2 has a few good ones too.
I don't think I'd be able to choose a favorite between them tbh.

Wish we had Fox though, that'd be pretty sweet.

FX is a pile of ****e tbh. Not really much there bar Rescue Me and Nip/Tuck

Cartoon Network shows more far more family guy, i love them for adult swim. It's perfect, Family Guy, Cowboy Bebop, Harvey Birdman, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, stroker & hoop so many quality shows.

    /me in the us btw

When i was home, I suppose channel 4. best news, great documentaries, comedy. The only channel that could bring you both Countdown and Eurotrash

BBC 2 and/or BBC 4 would by my Desert Island Channels. Why? An IQ which beats the collective Big Brother House by several score. I hate willfully low achieving tv and ITV/SKY/BBC 1/C4 is full of it.

    Mike.

I wouldn't have a favourite channel, because I'd watch wherever has a show I want to see, but the one I currently watch the most is LivingTV because their imports have been stuff I watch:

    *The L Word
    *Veronica Mars
    *Charmed
    *Grey's Anatomy
    *America's Next Top Model
    *Australia's Next Top Model
    *Britain's Next Top Model
    *Joan of Arcadia
*The Amazing Race (Living2 so cheating a bit there)
*CSI - don't watch it anymore, but Living was the first place outside five to air it over here.
*Will & Grace - not so much anymore, but again, first place to air it.

I loathe 'Most Haunted' though, so that's a major mark against them. Still deserves to have more viewers than Sky One though.

I like BBC 3, but I hate not being able to Sky Plus stuff on it, so I only turn it on for 'The Apprentice USA' and when there's new Little Britain.

Tg4 by far. they always have brilliant programmes on. they've been the first station to show alot of excellent programmes on this side of the pond. they had Oz, Fastlane. Nip/Tuck, the OC, Everwood, One Tree Hill and loads more. Plus i have to say i enjoyed that Neelo programme too. Paisean Faisean is another really good programme.

TG4 are good alright, but they've slowed down a lot with getting returning series on air. e.g 'Everwood' only came back in what, August instead of January? It's the only thing I'm watching on TG4 at the moment, and it was really annoying having to wait so long. Thank God for the US cousins now.

Also for their Mondays 10.30pm shows 'Carnivale' and 'The Wire', they often started them late, and made sky plusing them awkward because of late start/finish.

They should hurry up with Survivor Guatemala too.

I don't have a fav TV channel used to be N2 but now that they have returned it to RTE TWO it's just ****, other then LOST I watch very little on the Channel.

    TG4 has some good series.

E4 is good for repeats and if there is nothing else on.

but other then that I don't think much of the other channels.

Since I started subscribing to it, NASN is my favourite channel, just making sure I get my money's worth :p. It's very good though, NFL, MLB, and NHL starts up soon. Pity about the constant ads really (albeit unavoidable since a lot of the programmes are live feeds from the US who have ads constantly) - it's pushed me to consider Sky+.

Currently its E4, because of Lost and Six Feet Under, and they also show Scrubs repeats.
