Company name copyright

    I am considering setting up a limited company with accompianing website under a particualar name.
    I have done a search online for the name that I have choosen and it seems that there is a couple of small companies with the same name in other countries. What I need to know is could someone with that company take legal action against me if they are not registered with that name in Ireland.
