are ye mad, 5.5 hours!? well i'll be in ucd today as thats where my bow currently lives. is that a regular thing for the year then?

    Yeah, Every Tuesday.
The official time is 4:30 to 7 but when either Myself, Keith, John or Sinead are present we can stay longer. We are the official coaches for the club!

also still have the monday lunch thing 4 beginners and then wednesday n friday with dublin archers in st pauls...

Just for the sake of sayin, should the beginners not get a little bit more than just monday luinchtime. remember the fact that we got no beginners last year because we had no evening training time. just a thought. 5 and a half hours might seem like a great idea for spud and toxof, but, for any less archery-nerdy (if anyone gets offended it only re-inforces my point) people it's a bit much.

hey. yea tuesday's good. we seem to have a good crowd going already, with old and even older still there...... :-) newbies are welcome too as we've said, we had no beginners last year.....

but we didnt need beginners last year anyway!

thats one of those comments that'll come back to haunt me wont it?

I think on account of Kadeshh's reduced intelligence we can let that one slide. Just remember, college clubs are a lot more transient than you might think.

God I hate being reasonable, i wish i could just go back to rubbing people up the wrong way

We got about 70 newbies turning up to the first shoot after clubs day in NUIG - quite a drain on resources! Ya gota take them in though, future of the club and all that .....................

oh god we know...... wouldn't refuse them!!! would be very grateful......... just have to attract them first, sholdn't be a problem this year!

The way things are set up at present, we could have beginners 4.30 to 7 on tuesday as well as the monday and use the last 2 hours (7-9) for just the more advanced people.
On quieter nights, ie after mid november when numbers are smaller there'll be more time to train cos one or two people can supervise beginners while the rest shoot.
Either way things are much, much better then last year for us.

Plus we have a new ace up our sleeve with a certain former schools archer :)

but more on topic, i will be doing a course on motorbike mechanics in dit this year (tuesdays nights and sat mornings) so i might pop over now and again to shout and hurl abuse :-) i also might pop down to sportslink some night as i have been volunteered into the team event in january so i better dust off the old bow :-)

Thats pretty decent, at least its close to last year. Any news on the budget front?

oh and madrab training? I'll believe it when I see it :D

    There's more bad news madrab:
Please be advised if you are entering and have not registered any scores at any of the indoor shoots (FITA 18 metres), either this year or last year you will be assessed on a handicap based on a score of 540 out of 600. So please make sure you go and support the shoots held between now and Christmas. Handicaps are based on official results provided by the clubs to Keith Hanlon, IAAA records officer.

So if you don't want 540 (not that you're usually that far off) then you have to go to an IAAA shoot as well.

Well thats the last time i let noel or lou near my account!!!
yes lunacy is a good general description of DIT.

So Madrab returns, back to some good old fashioned loud dress sense!
And just cause i didnt write the baggins is cute doesn't mean people don't find hobbits so!
And yes toxof i do like spuds! :D

so they would assume i get a score of 540, thats close enough i suppose :D

well at the moment all my free time has kinda dried up, i have my bike course on tuedsays and thurdays, juijitsu on wednesdays and fridays, so im going to try and go to sportslink on of these nights...possibly...maybe...wellll.....damn it i cant do it on my own!! :D
