speeding tickets???? quick question...

my ma got caught speeding in a 60km zone in the back arse of nowhere.

she was doing 83kmph so she is in the wrong.

now when the ticket came in the post it says she was doing 83miles per hour instead of 83kilometres per hour

so it looks on the ticket like she was doing a huge amount over the limit when she really wasnt.

does it mean cos the ticket is written wrong that it is invalid?

also do they need to provide proof that u were speeding? ie receipt from speed gun?

i got away with it before on motorbike cos they couldnt prove that i was actually speeding cos they didnt get the proper reading off the gun.

out of interest how long did it take to come out?

it came out approx one week from the time of the offence.

i was asleep in the back, usually i spot em a mile away.

all she got was the speeding ticket. nothing else
