Guitarist and Bass player looking to start a funk band, at the moment were looking for a Good Keyboard player and a Good Drummer to start small. Maybe increase the number of instruments if things go well. Wide range of influences but want to play 70's and 80's funk. Post up if your intrested. Based in North Dublin. Feel free to ask questions if you want more information.

What tunes you thinking of covering?

What age range are the existing members?

Are there any costumes involved ;)

hey, sorry forgot to mention anything bout tunes and stuff. We were thinking bout starting out with some Meters or stripped down Funkadelic tunes, stuff like that, but we want to get into writing our own tunes.

We're in our early twenties but we arent particular about age or anything, if ya can "get off your ass and jam" its all good.

Had'nt thought about costumes really but why not, could be cool.

hi, firstly i'd like to wish you guys the best of luck.

Just wonderin, you say you live in north Dublin so is that where you'd be practicing?

Also, what other funk influences do you have as the meters (classic new orleans gopsel funk) and Funkadelic ( out- there, experimental crazy funk rock) are quite different from eachother.

Btw, i'm a sixteen year old drummer, playin half a year but of a two year standard ( i learn very quickly). ALready in a band but would be willing to play with you guys depending on you're interest and where you practise. I play all types of funk (funk-rock, jazzfunk, afrobeat, bluesfunk, new orleans steamroller funk and gospel funk) I am a man for the groove so no need to worry about cluttered over playing.

anyway as i said, even if i'm not in best of luck.

Hey everybody, sorry I haven’t posted back in a while, I was a bit busy with stuff last week. Cheers for all the responses. I was thinking the best thing to do would be to get in contact with people in a first come first served basis and get together for a jam to see if we get on well.

I don’t mean to come across all sounding like some TV talent show or anything but it’s probably the fairest way to choose who to get together with first.

Cheers for all the responses again and keep ‘em coming if anyone else is interested.
