    Hey all

For anyone into good accustic and folk rock theres a crackin gig on in Vicar Street the 13th of this month October. Mark Geary whos new Album "Ghosts" got em critical acclaim and made a serious dent in the Irish and US charts is playing for one night only.

Anyone who's been to a Frames gig who he often backs up or seen the man himself before will tell you it's a great night. Best 20 lids you'll spend this month.

Check em out anyways, ticketmaster.ie or markgeary.com for info.

    Barry

Make sure you guys check out the support act.
    Emmet Tinley.
Debut album "Attic Faith" is something else.

No offense (well probably some offense) but Emmet Tinley should be headlining ten times better.

    Well, he sure is brilliant!
Makes me laugh seeing how successful James Blunt can be and how many Irish love him (I can see his shows in the Point sell out in a few mins), but we have someone of even better talent and we dont look.
I saw Emmet play support to Kathleen Edwards in April @ Whelans (both on independent recs label here) and can remember everyone after his slot... and even after the gig itself going on and on about him.

Saw Emmet Tinley supporting Mark Geary in Whelans a few months ago...February I think it was. Fantastic gig, Mark's a great entertainer.

For those who are interested there's a Prayer Boat (E.T.'s old band...hehe ET :D ) concert archived on fabchannel.com

E.T is class. Marks also going to be bringing along his drummer so there should be a sweet sound goin on. Seemingly the donegal gig was class so Mark's in flyin form.

Still a few good spots left if you fancy a good thursday night out.

Few more tickets on sale for the Vicar St gig this thursday.

He's doing various other gigs around the country as well I forgot to mention. Kilkenny and cork at the weekend I think.

OK, I know this is extremely belated but I have to bump this one, not been near the net for the past week

    this was a fantastic gig

I nearly had tears in my eyes during the standing ovation (then my Y chromosome kicked in)

why can't he be big? why why why?

but there you go, straight into my top 3 gigs of the year without doubt
