    * Factual errors: In "Walkabout", Locke mentions that Norman Croucher was a double amputee who had climbed Mt. Everest. Norman Croucher actually climbed Mount Cho Oyo in Tibet.

    * Continuity: In "Raised by Another," during Claire's second visit to the psychic, her hair changes position several times between shots, from tucked behind her right ear to hanging loose.

    * Continuity: In the very first episode when the plane crashes and the people are panicking, we see the same people running in and out of shot repeatedly in the background behind the main characters.

    * Continuity: In "White Rabbit" when Charlie and Hurley are questioning Jack about the water in the tent, two people, a man and woman, walk behind Jack twice in the same direction/.

    * Continuity: In "House of the Rising Sun," the gold watch disappears from Michael's wrist when Jin is trying to drown him, but reappears after the fight.

    * Revealing mistakes: In the episode that shows the background of Walt, the glass between the polar bear and camera is visible when the bear's breath creates fog on it.

    * Continuity: In "s01e12 of Lost", during the bank robbery, when Kate is getting whacked in the face by her accomplice/lover, she is struck on her left cheek. When they exit from the office to the main hall of the bank, her right cheek is hurt and red.

    * Revealing mistakes: In "Homecoming", during Jack and Ethan's fight, you can clearly see that the man Jack tackles is not William Mapother, but a stuntman.

    * Continuity: When Boone is ragging on Shannon for not helping move the camp up the beach due to the high tide, he was wearing a very sweaty t-shirt with the Chinese eight-ten-four characters on the front. Moments later, with not time to change, the shirt has changed.

    * Factual errors: In episode 1.21, "The Greater Good", the flashbacks of Sayid are taking place in Sydney, Australia. However, in the scene when Sayid is jumping out of the white van in the warehouse you see the van's license plate. It it clearly a Hawaiian number plate and not a Sydney, Australian one.

    * Crew or equipment visible: In Episode 1.21 "The Greater Good", when Sayid exits the back of the white van, the reflection of the Steadicam and the Steadicam operator is reflected in the door that he closes, as he quickly moves away.

    * Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Charlie tells Claire that the sling he makes for her baby is called a bjorn, which is Dutch for "baby carrier". It is in fact called a babybjörn, which is Swedish for "baby bear".

    * Continuity: In episode #1.17, "In translation, we see a large blood stain on Jin's right elbow (on his shirt) when he is washing the blood off his hands. In the next shot the stain has disappeared.

    * Factual errors: In episode #1.3, "Tabula Rasa", the farmer tells Kate that he saw her photo in the post office, and that her capture would result in a $23,000 reward. Australian wanted posters are usually in the police station (post offices never have them), and normally do not specify rewards.

    * Crew or equipment visible: In episode #1.16, "Outlaws", a silver fence is visible in the top of the screen as Saywer is knocked to the ground when he is being chased by the boar. It is visible in the top of the next shot as well as the boar is running away. These fences were used to contain the boar while filming this sequence.

    * Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): In "Special" Locke and Boone are out looking for Vincent, and Boone yells, "Madison!" the dogs real name, the first time he calls out.

    * Audio/visual unsynchronized: During Michael's flashback of the airport in episode "Exodus Part 2", a close-up of Michael shows him talking to his mother on the phone and then pauses for her reply, when it cuts to a wide shot of Michael, his mouth is moving but nothing is heard. It cuts back to the close up, the pause ends and he answers.

    * Continuity: In the first episode, you see that Jack has a bad cut on his back which requires stitching by Kate. However, when he dives into the water to attempt rescue of the drowning woman only six days later, there is no wound on his back.

    * Factual errors: In the episode "Homecoming", Charlie says he is demonstrating a Xerox 815 copier. It is in fact a Canon Imagerunner 5000.

    * Plot holes: When Sayid is captured by Rousseau he tells her that Nadia is dead because of him. Later on we learn that, as far as Sayid knows Nadia is alive.

    * Continuity: In "Hearts and Minds", when Boone is tied up, his right hand is tied to his chest and his left hand is tied around his back. However, when he reaches for the knife with his right hand, you can see in the shots of his back that his right hand is tied behind his back.

    * Crew or equipment visible: In episode 23: Exodus part 1 you can clearly see the camera team in the water when Vincent tries to reach the raft (on the right side of the screen). A few shots later you can see the camera again.

    * Continuity: When Hurley and Charlie are trying to catch fish with the spear, Hurley's t-shirt changes from being wet all over the front to only wet halfway up his chest.

    * Factual errors: In the final episode in season 1 the radar screen on the raft shows a rotating trace on a circular screen. To get this kind of display, the radar antenna must be mechanically rotated. The antenna on the raft is fixed in one position (pointing to the aft).

    * Continuity: After Charlie changes his finger bandages to say Late, another scene shows the "L" finger with a completely blank bandage. In episode 5, the "L" on that finger reappears.

    * Continuity: Episode 24. As Hurley runs through the airport to get to the plane, the sweat stains on his shirt get bigger and bigger. But when he enters the plane to take his seat the stain is back to it's original size (just around the neck).

    * Crew or equipment visible: Exodus Part 2: Right after Locke blows up the hatch you see a shot of Kate and Hurley. If you look behind them, you can clearly see an artificial light and what looks like a camera or tripod in the background.

    * Continuity: The plane used in the flashback sequences for the pilot is apparently a different plane than the one used in the flashback sequences for the finale.

    * Continuity: During the flashback sequences for both the pilot and the finale, different characters are meant to be traveling through different sections of the plane, although it appears that, with the exception of business class, the same section was used for filming but with different people. This becomes a problem when spoken lines referring to seat numbers as well as the footage from right before the crash doesn't match at all to the boarding footage in the finale.

    * Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Exodus Part 3: Walt says to his dad that he needs new batteries for his Game Boy. However, he is using a Game Boy Advance SP, that uses a rechargeable battery.

    * Crew or equipment visible: When Michael pulls Sawyer out of the water after saving the rudder, you can see a boat in the upper right corner of the screen. Possibly the same boat used later in the scene after they shoot the emergency flare.

    * Boom mike visible: In "Deus Ex Machina", after Locke realizes he's been conned out of a kidney by his father, when we see him driving (from the back seat angle) it is possible to see the boom mike's shadow cast over his right shoulder.

    * Continuity: In season 1, episode 3, in the car-chase flashback, the red car flips over, off the hill and the hatch on the back of the car breaks off. The next scene shows the car in upright position, with the hatch still on.

    * Continuity: In "Exodus Pt. 2" Michael fires the flare and we see it fizzle out. However in a subsequent shot, the flare is still ablaze.
Pretty impressive list of them there, anyone spot anything not listed there?

    not really a mistake but...

i noticed in the scene where jack kate and charlie are running from monster after searching the front of the plane in episode 2, you can see the braches that are coming into view of the reversing camera are swaying away from the camera, ie the camera and its mountings are catching of the branches

    * Plot holes: When Sayid is captured by Rousseau he tells her that Nadia is dead because of him. Later on we learn that, as far as Sayid knows Nadia is alive.

surely he could have said that to try to placate her/bond with her. he had/was being tortured after all.

incidently - whoever drew up that list needs to invest their time in something more productive!
