they are ahead of schedule, they expect that by the time the ryder cup starts in the K-club, the fans will not be inconvenienced. It's imperative that the travelling fans from overseas that they think ireland has brilliant roads and how we are really an advanced country.

As another poster said they will be ready in time for Ryder Cup. This is a Design and build contract and they usually come in ahead of time as there is less interferrance from Government parties.

2 of the junctions are supposed to be finished for christmas.

    Off Topic.
The B*astards blocked my rat run this morning without notice. Very late

Yeah that Ryder Cup is gas-anyone in the vicinity of Straffanis getting nice newly surfaced roads, complete with new slipform kerbing in many parts. In fairness though-they needed it. In fact, all rural resurfacings should have kerbing considered, soft margins seem to allow even fairly new asphalt to be 'squeezed' out to the side and the cracking begins. It's very noticable near me on the Clonsilla-Ongar road, one side has kerbing, they other is a soft margin and it's in bits on that side, only a recent enough job too.

    Kerbing means adding drainage also.
