Hope this is the right place for this. Anyone else having problems with NTL digital in the Dublin 15 area? We've had it for about 2 months now and my girlfriend is going nuts with it. I'd say we've had no signal (no stations, reception, picture whatsoever) on at least 6 or 7 occasionss in the 2 months we have digital. She's called NTL a good few times and they sent out an engineer once to have a look but he found nothing wrong. Another engineer is coming out tomorrow to have a look again. What I want to know is if it's a general problem in the area or is it just a dodgy connection/hardware issue we're having. Anybody having similar problems?

I live in Dublin 15 but have had no major problems. Once or twice the screen would freeze or go jumpy but wouldn't last too long. Haven't had any trouble with blank screens or anything so maybe it is your digibox ?

Hope it gets sorted soon :)

Cheers for that. Anyone else? The engineer is coming today between 1pm and 6pm so I would like to narrow the problem down.

Hi. Just recently moved to Dublin 15 and have found NTL/UPC a right pain. Only had it installed 2 weeks ago and the phone signal has been down constantly, while the tv signal has been gone 3 or 4 times. Currently gone since Sunday night. We can still get the analogue singal through the tv but the digital is knackered. As I'm sure you've found their customer service isn't great and I was on hold for 15 minutes twice last night without getting anyone. Maybe it is a general problem in the area. We have said we will give it a month and if the problems continue, we will switch to sky.

Something to try: Your digibox should be connected directly to the mains? IE not routed through an extension lead or double adaptor. This can lead to a loss of signal. Aso try rebooting the box from the help menu. This worked for me last night so might be worth a shot.

    Hi,

my subbed box is no longer working, i live in D15 and others in lusk to are affected. anyone know what i can do, ive tried everything unplugging etc.

use to have access to every channel now just a few basic. please instructions and cod es welcomed.

What's a subbed box? Have you contacted NTL about it? Of course if it is an illegal box, I would recommend getting a subscription.

Subbed = Subscribed? Just a thought.

I don't think it is, Watty. See user's post in this thread:

It seems to be a hacked one.
