After that display against a very average Villa team, It may be time to rip up those betting slips for liverpool to win the premiership!

If a team is going to win the league, they can only lose 5-6 matches in the whole season!

They just cant give the other teams a head start like that!

Can Liverpool still win the Premiership this year?

Its too early to write them off yet. Arsenal had their hiccup against Leeds. This year I think its going to be very tight and hopefully the premiership will go right to the wire. Of couse Liverpool need to make sure Gerrard doesn't make too many stupid tackles like that one on Beotang (spelt incorrectly!), it was a horrendous tackle.

    Gandalf.

hmm, would you say the same about utd drawing their first 2 of games of the season?
every team has bad days and good days.
they will still be up there at the end.

Its unfair to put Liverpool out of the Premiership already. I have to admit that they have not started the best but they'll be up there at the end. Its just as easy to say that Bolton will get a champions league spot! Now in all fairness.

They might still be "up there", but they won't be #1.

As a Liverpool supporter, I really dissappointed by start of the season. I know that it is early in the season but I think Houllier doesnt know how to rotate his squad especailly the forwards.

I think that Liverpool need wide players to get down the flanks, instead of the route one long ball. And the Westerveld thing was a mistake.......

I'm so down:( w/ the start we've made.

The stats dont lie-in the history of the Premiership....
Only Blackburn have lost more than 6 games in a season & still won the league.
Thus that means 2 down already:(

If the Pool are 2 win the Prem we'll need to go on a Record Breaking Run akin to our 30 game unbeaten streak in 1989 if we are to prevail. Having said that if we are well out of the league come Christmas & we're still in the Champions League it might be a blessing in disguise [sense my clutching @ straws here?]

OH & BTW, Although I acknowledge the need in the modern game for managers to deploy a rotation system,
    but...
WTF was Houillier thinking resting Mick Owen???
That guy is so hot @ the mo. he makes the Sun seem like a Siberian Prison Camp in January:p

erm, no offence now, but since houllier tok his side to 4 cups last year, and you took no-one nowhere, i think he knows whats best for his team, dont you?
