The proposed design for Corks first Council skatepark has been granted funding from the Government. The site in mind is located in the soon to be built docklands development. There is also a site at Ballyphehane park proposed and talk of two comming our way.Any other details are unknown to me at the moment.

Yes Cork Skate, there has been some media attention about the skatepark going ahead at the Ballypheane site at the Tory Top Road park. Its what they are calling a piolet project to test the water so there is a possibillity of another one or two at other sites! Its going to be built anr ready for use in two monthe. As regards the desing..the word on the street is its the same design that was done for Kennedy Park over two years ago...but I cannot confirm this at the mo.
Im happy as long as its free, concrete and has flow!!!!

Might be OK but it is a bit of a skanger-ville ..... agreed though ... if its free concrete and good to skate then it has to be good !!

Its not the best area ...but beggers cant be choosers. The scumbags if any will soon get tired of us...they have nothing to do while well have a skatepark to use!!
