I use a variety of guages for different tunings, but usually they're all Ernie Ball.

Dean Markley SR2000s for my 5-string basses. They sound good, but they require adjusting of the action, due to their construction

Ernie Ball slinkys in 10. Fender 9's and whatever else they had available at a reasonable price and nice packaging at the time of purchase.

Squier Tele: no-name stainless steel strings in different gauges to make a "hybrid" set: light highs and heavy lows.

    Hohner B2ADB: factory-supplied stock strings.
