150 euro rebate on EOS 20d

just sold my 300d .i may go with the 20d now rather than the 350d

Hmm I have a 300D and am considering this. But does it apply to purchases made online? I can get a 20D for between €1100-1200 online, but in retail stores its €1800+.

Will they accept receipts/invoices from companies on the net or even places like ebay?

(or maybe I'll just wait for the 20D successor tba in February...)

i think online is fine for rebate but be careful with ebay for something like a 20d.
i've bought from this company before but i think there's a typo on the 20d price (maybe should be 866 i'll check with them monday).

Does anyone know of the cheapest company in europe selling 20Ds? In the Terms and conditions it says the offer applies to all 20ds bought in most european countries, so I might buy it if I could get it cheap and add the rebate.

BTW Dave, how much did u sell your 300D for and where?

i sold my 300d inc. the kit lens and batt grip for 550 on the boards here

The cheapest 20D I've seen is on technikdirekt.de for €1269 without the kit lens and €1349 with it.

I guess the rebate will count with this site. Very tempting now. Was in a shop in Cork yesterday and the 20D retails at €2100! So you can actually buy it now for almost €1000 cheaper!

Well, unfortunately the 20d cashback is "only valid in country of purchase", pity, I was hoping to get it in europe with eu warranty.

I was looking at the accessories cash back thing too and you can only apply for 1 cash back per name or address. Still, I've got some cashback vouchers coming to me that I'll use for my 70-200 f/4 L to get a cool €100

I think at this stage, I'll just wait for the 20D successor in Feb/march.

.the terms and conditions say for the promotion to be valid you must purchase in the eu.i can't see the problem

i asked canon about purchasing in the uk and claiming cashback for the 20d and a lens(in the other promotion) got a reply today:

products if the date of purchase is within the running time of the

It does not matter whether you buy the products in the United Kingdom or
in Ireland.

Sounds good, I'm hoping to get the 20D with Kit lens either towards the end of this month or early next month. Probably from technikdirekt.de.
With the rebate that makes it €1200, not bad at all.

they told me i could purchase in the uk .not sure about anywhere else though.as elessar pointed out canon state that the 'cashback is only valid in country of purchase'.i believe they may refuse cashback from pixmania

I can't see that text anywhere in the Terms & Conditions and can't see anything that would suggest it either. It looks like you can buy it anywhere in Europe (stated countries) and claim the rebate from anywhere in those countries.

I'm not really that bothered as I was going to buy it anyway but it would be nice.

I rang the number on the FAQ and the guy said that I'm eligible for the rebate. Nice one. Plus I got €950 worth of Canon vouchers with the camera! Sweet.

Shocking, my friend got one in Dublin for €1650.00 and has already recived her €150.00 rebate- Ireland receives it in 27 days apparently. only luxembourg gets it faster at 23 days
