Can't connect

Ok the story goes....

Was able to connect to the web fine ...happy days (Phone Connection)
The other day I turn on the comp and find that when I click on my comp the internet connection pops up .cancel it the window opens and the int connection pops up again ...this happens any time I try to access any drive.
Also when I try to connect to the web the phone connects and logs in etc..
but no browser i use will actually connect and neither will outlook
there's no activity on the connection icon at bottom of screen. So although I'm connected to the web I can't do anything.

I have avg/zonealarm and win me any idea's

Ok got, loaded, and ran spybot and it cleared up the first problem of the connection box popping up when i access my drives.
But now when I try to connect to the net it goes through the checking password etc... and then hangs up and says connection failed. I'll post the log from the modem tomorrow maybe I'm missing something but all the settings seem to be fine. I tried unloading the modem and reinstalling it but still no joy.
Any Idea's?

make sure your firewall didnt accidentely block your internet access
