expired domain?

    how long do i have to wait after a domain expires to reg it.

    It varies. If you really want it, there are registrars who offer a "jump on this domain the moment it expires" option, though that does cost a bit more than normal registration.

    oh, my mistake (duh!!).

    Had a read of your initial query again.

    Works like this:

    1) Domain expires 31st October(e.g.)
    2) owner then has 45 days to re-register ir
    3) If he doesn't it gets placed onto a deletion list
    4) domain then becomes available.

    Various companie out there can obtain these domains for you e.g snapnames

    It will take at least two months after the expiry date before you will be able to purchase it. Some domain registrars put a registrars-lock on it for longer. Good luck and remember there are companies that just buy up deleted domain names straight away so they can resell them.
