Just wondering what your views were on this guys journey to Thailand?

For me the film was ok I suppose, I think he was really brave to take fights in Thailand, ok fair enough the first guy he fought was not fit and looked a far bit older and the second guy looked like a lot lighter seemed he would have had to run around in the shower to get wet he was that skinny, I dont think he was to know that so again fair play to him for fighting anyway.

It seemed in the end fighting was not for him, but the fact that he gave it a go at least he can look back in years to come and say he tried.

On a personal note I felt envious in a good way if you know what I mean..he spent a year and a half in Thailand training...what I wouldnt give to spend that much time training in Thailand..but with the whole morgage and job thing going on...I mean its hard enough training for fights with family and work etc at home in Ireland let alone go to Thailand.

Some of the camps he trained in seemed a bit uninterested in him to be honest..he paid money to train which is not uncommon and left one after only two weeks because of costing, watching the footage of him training gave a lot of clues to this as in his kicking technique was poor in Thai standards, these small details arent usually accepted by a Thai unless they have little interest in your training.

But hey in the end what a journey for him.... one day being bottled in the head and the next fight in one of the toughest ring sports in the world, fair play Peter.
