Your spending a massive chunk on your budget on an expensive mouse and keyboard. Could you not keep whatever generic keyboard u have and just get an MX510 or 518 for a mouse ? No need for wireless really. That saves u a lot.

How about u post your current system specs and we could better tell what needs to be upgraded and what could stay as is ?

BTW, that Qtec powersupply has to go nomatter what. Theyre ****. End of.

You dont have a motherboard on that list either so I'm assuming youre keeping your current one? A decent motherboard so that you can overclock that processor would be worth cramming in there.

Plz post full current specs then itll be easier to give u decent advice

scrap the socket a and treat yourself with a new socket 754 or 939 for yourself.. use as much of your old stuff as you can. oh and dont get the 256 6600.. get a 128 6600gt or a 256 x800gt. much better

oh and u should buy stuff from komplett :D;)

    Run away from that powersupply!!
Why buy such an expensive mouse? Any of the cheap logitech mouses are very good.
Buy from Pixmania.com, overclockers take more money ;)

Did you see the guys budget ? The new ram and processor would have him pretty near it, never mind the new ram and gfx card. I would recommend saving up a bit more to get 939 though, socket a is a stone dead platform.

Thanks for the feedback guys but after thinking about it, i think i may just take the money and run :P...nah..if i can get 420eu for christmas, then with saving and stuff...+next christmases money, i should have 1000eu. This means i can then build a kick ass 64bit(which i know nothing about) rig :D..anyone actually know anything about 64bit??

Also..TY Shane for the effort, it's appreciated and also, thanks for the posts...tbh, i haven't a clue what to do XD

Also...on Komplett there now and found this , it looks ok and it's not overbudget..it'd be future proof with the 939 mobo and with a 2.2ghz 64bit processor would be ok (no?), It'd do me at least a year :D..I could always add to it :D

I'd recommend buying some parts 2nd hand on ebay with a restricted budget like that. 6600GT 128MB > 6600 256MB like the others said.

Also, keep an eye out on the for sale forum here on boards. I wouldn't try to build a new rig with so little money tbh.

Just as a pointer Gareth, the fact that you would be using a 64-bit processor doesnt mean anything. It doesnt mean any extra worries or things to consider.

You'd just keep on using the same old 32-bit windows, same drivers, same programs.

There is a windows xp 64-bit, but support for it is limited and it's quite bleeding-edge. Theres no need to use it at all really.

So save up for your nice new rig with an Athlon 64 next year and enjoy the speed

Yea demon...I've decided to do that :D
