Anyone hear this irritating ad on Newstalk 106 and maybe other radio stations. A guy and a bird are discussing tech stuff about platforms and servers. The guy suggests that they use a Linux server and in a surprised and stupid tone of voice yer one shouts back:
    LINUX!! WHY LINUX!?!
Gets highly irritating after hearing it a couple of times. But I feel better now that I've gotten this off me chest.

Totally with you. Those ads really bug me too.

The one your talking about where an IT manager decides to move her application to Linux based on what someone told her about support is nothing more then their own wet dream.

Note how they recently took the line "How about Windows?" followed by laughter out of the ad as allegedly Microsoft Ireland threatened to do the legal equivalent of crushing Sabio's testes with a meat tenderiser.

I think it's the quality of the acting that bugs me the most about this ad. So wooden.

Sounds like they did they copy for the ad themselves....cheapskates.
