I've recently had walnut floors installed in my house and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get accessories, particularly saddleboards and pipe roses. They don't have to be walnut just a dark wood that would match.

I got pipe roses from the people who installed our floors. No idea what a saddleboard is :)

I've brass effect ones inmy place - cheap enough from Des Kelly, comes in 8ft length approx, easily cut to length, one side has an adhesive strip, the other side 'floats'

Saw pipe roses in Tubs n Tiles (of all places) in Fonthill Retail Park near Liffey Valley. Would also expect that you could get these at the likes of Brooks Thomas etc. I did a lot of run around looking for chrome/silverey ones for bathroom - put in heated towel rail and got silverey/chromey covered pipes so wanted to finish off with chrome roses/floor plates. Ended up having to get tacky plastic ones in Woodies or something as couldn't get anything sturdier but did see wooden ones in places I mentioned above. Reckon you'd get saddel boards in a lot of places - e.g. Brooks Thomas - anywhere that does doors and floors really.

Ok, so is someone going to tell me what a "saddle board" is? :)

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I got red deal saddleboards in Brookes and stained them to match the floors. Came up well. Still struggling with the pipe roses tho. I can only find light shaded ones which do not match the darkness of the walnut. Was thinking of getting some pine doornobs and staining them and then moulding them to fit. Sounds desperate I know!!
