I am flying in from Los Angeles for the Oct 6th match. I'm hoping that Quinn gets a goal.
Where are the best pre-match pubs and parties? And post-match parties for that matter! Will be staying at Temple Bar area. Thanks!

I havent actually checked this out but you can be sure every pub in Ireland will be showing this match. There is a Sports Bar in Temple Bar its opposite Thunder Road Cafe Restuarant on Fleet Street. Never gone it there but I'm sure its fine.

    Gandalf.

    It's called the All-Sports Cafe.

Have been there many occasions, though always for rugby, great place to find a real international crowd, though I reckon it might not be the hard-core Irish soccer followers cup of tea, your typical local with big-screen may be better. Your mileage may vary.

I thoroughly recommend it for rugby, but wonder what it would be like for soccer ... guess there's only one way to find out :)

I'm going to see the game live, just wondering where the pre/post-game rallies and best pubs are...

dunno whether its on at the same time as the England match or not but I'd say from looking at this article you can be pretty sure that it'll be on Sky...

Basically Sky Sports have announced a five year deal with the FAI. They will be covering everything from the FAI Cup to International matches - both senior and Under-21.

Im sure the FAI have picked up a nice cheque for that deal. Lets hope they use the money sensibly and not squander it on hairbrained ideas.
Are they still going ahead with Eircom park now or have they realised its a waste of time and money?

No, they're moving to that other waste of time and money, Stadium Ireland, instead.

We traditionally get together before big games to celebrate together with other supporters. Do you do this in Ireland? Isn't there any good pubs close to Lansdowne Road?

This is a big day since The Mighty Quinn will break the Irish goal scoring record on Oct 6th. Lets get together and RALLY for the green!
