Shanghai Property

    Did anyone see the Shanghai property feature in this month's business and finance?

    Interestingly (for me) I looked at the idea of selling Chinese property here a little while ago.

    I abandoned it because I didn't think there would be enough 'suckers' . I wonder if I was wrong.

    The article was (if I remember correctly) a commercial feature. It spoke about the appreciation of price and certain opportunities that are represented as existing.

    While I don't in any way criticise the company involved, property rights in China are unclear (you can't own property) and there are few places to put your money. If anything property is heading for a crash.

    On the other hand Treasury holdings are investing in China (apparently) so what do I know.

    I heard a company called 'Tamarind' I think advertising freehold property in Thailand. Starting at EUR 87000.
