1 bottle of dry red wine
    1 cup sugar
    1 stick cinammon
    5 cloves
    6 cardomom seeds, crushed
rind of 1 lemon, peeled in 1 piece
    2 cups brandy
    half cup almonds, slivered
    half cup raisins

Mix together in a saucepan the wine, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom seeds and lemon peel. Cover and leave for a couple hours. Heat gently, don't let it boil. Prepare heatproof glasses by putting a few almonds and raisins in each one. Pour the brandy into the wine and (if you are posh - light with a match and pour whilst still burning) into the prepared glasses.
There are many ways of making this wine, this is one ;) Makes about 2 pints. Yum yum

That stuff is gooooooood. Other than when my mum makes it because she makes it like 1 part spice mic, 8 parts vodka. Also it's not Swedish, it's found in all of Scandinavia around winter.

You can also get powder mixes of it from places like Ikea. Just add in your own alcohol and raisins.
