Hi I'm moving into an apartment next year.

    New development, Dublin 24 Area

I was wondering do Sky offer a service to Apartments? I know the lease agreement does not allow Satellites and Aerials on balconies but has anyone heard of anyone receiving Sky in an Apartment with One main dish serving the entire Block.

If its specified in the building plans then yes but unfortunately this has been an afterthought in many new developments. The more enlightened developers are wiring with CAT 5 cable for broadband and/or coax for satellite delivered services.

well I tried two different things that worked in my apartment here.
You can buy a satellite dish that looks like a box and sits on the balcony [if you have one]. They sell them here and they look a bit like a small white box... you can even paint them if you want! That's one solution...
The other that I used was I bought a small camping satellite dish [a small plastic one] that I put on the window sill inside my flat and that worked great! Just don't move it when you are hoovering or anything! So it worked through the window no problems...
    Hope this helps..!
    :)
