I had a bottled beer about 5 years ago in London. It came in a 25cl fat bottle, dark glass. I think it was Belgian, but am not sure. The flavour was mildly peppery. Does anyone know what it was, because I'd like to get it again?

That's not really giving a lot to go on. Do you remember anything else?
    What colour was the beer?
    What colour was the label?
What alcohol level? i.e. was it on the high side 6-8%

Faro is a type of sweet Lambic that's often flavoure with pepper or cinnamon.
But a lot of Belgian beers can give a peppery, cinnamon, spiced taste.

Was it Chimay? They come in a 33cL bottle, but they're short & stubby.
