Powerbook Adaptor go BOOOOM!

I plugged in the power adaptor into the wall the other day and it went 'pop..fizzle..bang' with a blue flash from inside. The fuse went, and so did the one I replaced when I plugged it in a second time, to an even bigger flash. (My brother-in-law is and electrical engineer and has checked the house and found no problems)…

anyone have this problem before. I'm on hold with AppleCare right now trying to get me a new one. had to shell out €120 in PCworld for a Targus adaptor in the meantime

I've had the replacement battery for months, no problem there. I'm on the phone to them now, they're refunding me and giving a replacement.
