Joystick Problems

I recently bought a joystick, but it won't work on BF2 for some reason, I calibrated the joystick and it works proparly but not in the game. I entered the control menu but there is no checkbox or the like for the use of a joystick... How do I get to work? Cheers and thanks.

go to the particular control example

Throttle up - W
Throttle Down - S
(if you are defining throttle up put your trottle in its down position) select to redefine
then push the throttle up, it should redefine both keys.

then do the same for each other control, it will redefine the opposite control automatically, you will want to test it as if you do it wrong your controls will be reversed to hilarious consequences.
