Wellity wellity wellity... Some of you may have seen this thread where I had a problem with my pc. I tried various things, unplugging cables, putting them back, booting XP CD, trying to reinstall etc etc etc. I was having no luck. It just wouldn't boot up. My mother said she knew some oul dear who is "good with computers"…

Wellity wellity wellity...

Some of you may have seen this thread where I had a problem with my pc. I tried various things, unplugging cables, putting them back, booting XP CD, trying to reinstall etc etc etc. I was having no luck. It just wouldn't boot up.

My mother said she knew some oul dear who is "good with computers" and of course I was like "mam, no old lady you know will be able to fix this problem! ffs!" so I hear the door bell ring today and when I go downstairs I see a little oul lady with a red ribbon in her hair and a big screwdriver beside her. And what's on the screen? The windows desktop in flyin' form

I'm not sure, she basically did what I was doing, but obviously did a better job. She reconnected everything at the back (which I didn't do) and checked everything inside and put some screws into the cd drives. It may have been the cables at the back that needed the attention. Who knows? :rolleyes:
