Windows taking ages to start up

OK big computer brains, what causes this? PC is slightly aged (5 years) and on its second HD, running Windows 2000. I've noticed recently that Windows takes ages to start up, so I'm wondering if this is a precursor to it not starting up at all.

    Any ideas?

You probably have too many processes running at startup for your computer to handle.

Use this it sould help you out.

I would also suggest using NoAdvare and AVG, just download both of them and give your computer a scan aswell.

EDIT: For everyone else looking to help, Win 2000 doesn't have MSCONFIG, so this is probably the best option.
