Is this two nights only? I'd go only I'm sick of those two films having seen them so many times. And I wonder how many cars would be there... would be cool to have something regular but a special occasion like this would mean much greater volume of traffic.

The screens and projectors cost a bomb, so they have to tour them; this is probably a British company doing a tour of Ireland. Why some enterprising Irish fella or lass doesn't do a year-round rotation of Ireland is beyond me.

This sounds like a great idea, but not for those two films.

I was wondering how it could sell out so fast then I notice its free! nothing the word free to get the tickets flying out the door. What about people with no cars, should'nt they have a number 2 bus or something pull in there and pick it up the radio, then again the film would probably be over by the time it would arrive.....

Well I went to see Some Like it Hot @ the Showgrounds last night and what a success it was. Speakers were not clamped to doors as previously suggested. We turned into 107.5fm on our radios and sound was transmitted that way. No having to keep your car windows down in the freezing cold to hear the soundtrack - yipee!!!!

Respect deserved to the organisers and volunteers. They operated a tight ship and everybody had a smile on their face which makes a big change from most events like these.

Well done to everybody involved. Pity they couldn't put on shows like this on a monthly basis.

Anyone ever been to a drive in before? I've been to one where the sound was on FM, and one other where the sound was on AM but you had to clip a thingy to the radio antenna to receive that signal.

What will be used for the sound in Cork (anyone know the frequency if it's FM?)
