Well Mark cagney has won TV Personailty of the year. Given that last year was won by Claire Byrne I convinced that this award is a sop to TV3. Lets face it they haven't been metioned in any other catagory

Let's face it TV3 work for this award. It's on the News asking people to vote for Mark Cagney is on during corronation street to vote for him.

But next year if anyone from Ireland AM is up for this award, boards must come together and make sure that next years winner isn't Alan Whats his face. (I cann't beleive Mark Cagney actually thanked Rick Hetherington :p  what a lick).

Fair enough I take back what I said, they mounted an effective campaign. I don't watch TV3 that much, not at all now since ITV is available free.

Does anyone know why Gillian Anderson had an English accent? Is she practicing for a new film or something?

Gillian Anderson (swoon!) was raised in London until she was about 9 or 10.
She also spent a lost of the last year there making Bleak House.

And the winner was.... (mark cagney)

I think neil jordan summed up this charade of an award ceremony very well.
Iirc, he said you'd be sitting down at the table over hearing people bitching about the people they have to work with...and then they are their best friends in the "couldnt have done it without you" speeches if they win something.

What was up with Stew winning best entertainment programme? Definitely should have been The Panel, or if not that Killinaskully. Also does anybody know who designed Mischa Barton's dress? It was fabulous!
