Best/Worst Album Covers Ever

i know this thread has been up here before, but i cant seem to find the existing one... there were some excellent suggestions in the previous thread with album covers ranging from the classic to the absolute bizzare. anybody got anyting to offer???

weezer - Green Album

Im a huge weezer fan, but thats just terrible, how lazy and crap is that, what makes it worse is that they had already done it on the Blue album.....

Yea the Green album, one of the catchiest albums in recent years, but i have to admit the cover is pretty lame. its still a bit better than the 'Make Believe' cover, Whats that all about?!

Oasis - Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

That Mayhem one is pretty rough. On one hand I think it's perfect expression of the type of music that they play, violent and heavy as hell but on the other hand it's a real photo so that's pretty ****ed up. Scratch that, it's immensely ****ed up. I don't think I can think of another sleeve with that much power and aptness for the record it represents.

Unfortunately I think it is. I don't really want to google it to find out though. And to think I just posted on a thread saying that boards.ie shouldn't have links to violent and pornographic material.

The best album cover ever is Spinal Tap, 'Smell the Glove'. Its so black, how much more blacker can you get? No more blacker.
Nigel Tufnall likes it, thats good enough for me.

LONDON CALLING has got to be the definitive rock album anyway cover buti quite like the cover of "straight outta compton" by nwa - with all the lads starin down at ya & lookin all "gangsta"

hmmm best would be

worst would be make believe's cover

it's almost like saying "well you stood for a photo on your two best selling albums (blue 3million+ green 1million+) so it will work again, sadly it didn't

All of The smiths album covers were stunning apart from strangeways here we come with The world wont listen, A hatful of Hollow and The Smiths been particlarly fetching.
