Paphos, Cyprus

    Myself and my wife are off to Paphos in Cyprus next week.
    Has anybody got advise on the place, things to do, recommendadtion, what not to do etc ?.

    rent a car and head up into the mountains and into the kussos monastery.....lovely chinesse called the imperial and another place called chloes that was recommended to us but never got there....there's this place called mama's that has the biggest portions of food ever!!!!

    Thnaks, I know the currency is the Cypriot Pound and so far have completly forgot to get any at the bank, is it easy to change Euros at the airport and do may business accept Euro are are they strictly CYP

    Ireland are playing Cyprus in Nicosia on the 8th if your there for two weeks.

    Something you should try and get to see is the abandonded town/city of Famagusta in the east of the island. It really is mind sureal. You can see it from the hills. The poepl had to flee when the Turkish invaded in 1974. EVERYTHING has been abandoned. Theres washing still on the clothes lines, tables still set, shops open,.... just all abandoned.
