It is over Dohertys pub in what used to be there function room.
It is supposed to be decent.
Unfortunately even though I live in Rathfarnham, its
still fairly awkward to get too.
I dont have a car,no buses go up that way late at night and walking is
dangerous because of the lack of a proper footpath.

    I detest Spam.
TonyDoc has posted on other threads here and on one of them he has said that he was there last night and all of them were posted this morning.
I'm gald to see one of the Moderators picked up on it and gave him a warning.

I think he has the right to post up the info here as it is poker related and there may be people from the area who didn't know about it.
The only problem is when he starts posting about it in unrelated threads and doesn't make it clear if he works for the club.
Lets not get too picky here - there are plenty of threads that have been posted today that could be argued as being spam, not mentioning any names (Paddy Power) but the info is of interest to people on this board. I have no problem with that.

Agree with everything you wrote Pokertroll. I think it could have been posted as an event with the details as per Poker Events Charter. It is the way it is posted it suggests that TonyDoc is looking for information but is actually posting the information himself as in another post he mentioned being there.

Maybe a "Conflicts of Interest"/"Declare your allegiances" sticky ala what exists in Commuting/Transport is needed?

I think this kind of thing is useful and the exact reason why this forum is here. I live in the Rathfarnham area, and saw a €500 FO tournament advertised in a shop for last weekend, I hadn't heard any mention of it on here, so I assume alot of the players didn't know about it.
    Did anyone go to this??

Tonymac can post info or answer questions in one thread on the subject, he doesn't need to post it in unrelated threads.
And he really needs to admit that he's connected to the Club, especially when it's obvious. That shít gets on my nerves.

8 showed up for it (I wasn't one!) including Roy The Boy, I believe it was a 3 way chop.

A 3 way chop in a one table tournament... :( I know it was a 500 buy in but still.
