Yeah, been the last 3 weeks, very well run tournament, some people think the reg fee is a bit high, 15e reg on the buy-in and 10e on the re-buy, but there's 100% pay out.

Starting chips is about 4k blinds start at 25/50 20 minute intervals IIRC

standard of players range from complete novice to seasoned players.

One or two of the dealers need a bit more expirience but most of them are on the ball.

they also run 50e/100e STT's for people who get knocked out early.

Was just on the poker events website. It says 7.30 start. Is that the registration time or are the first cards dealt at that time?

There were lots of chubby lads in grey suits, not many handsome ones though, (Not that im a stick insect or anything)

Really enjoyed the night, completly card dead, played 2 sit'n'goes after for €50. Paddy (the taxi man) was at it. Very funny guy. He called an all in on the first hand and was first to show. He showed Pockets 33's, the other guy (an italian dealer from merrion i think??) said your ahead, paused, turned over pocket kings, and then said "on the flop. Well paddy went beserk, called him a stupid bo**ocks, etc, for making him think he was ahead. So needless to say the flop as Q 3 A, rag rag and paddy doubles up, stills calls the other guy a boll**ks and makes him go to the bar and buy him a heineken. Brillant. Didn't know what to expect when i went to the tournament. Nice to play with a different bunch of people, although the tournament table looked like a typical tournament night at the Fitzwilliam. Definitely will go back again. Came third in the 2nd sit'n'go so not too bad. Would definitely go again.

I was indeed, went out about 22nd, I was very unlucky on two hands that would have sent me sailing to the final table but I won't bore people with the bad beat stories :)
