Once again Kerry are robbed,

First off I’d like to congratulate Tyrone on winning yesterdays final. It is always nice to win an All-Ireland, however it is nice to win it fairly. This Tyrone did not do. Tyrone had the advantage of their other player, Michael Monahan from Kildare, ala referee, this man really and truly I am sure has no conscious at all, he was responsible for Tyrone’s victory yesterday and him alone.

The Goochbusting was well planned in advance even advertised (apoligies for the scan quality). Mickey Hart is now taking a page out Kevin Heffernan’s book a tactic Dublin used commonly during Kerry’s Golden Years, although those years the busting was done before the ball was thrown in, however nowadays with referees like Michael Monahan any time during the 70mins will do to try and kill whichever piece of bright young Kerry talent they wish.

Colm Cooper is lucky to have two eyes after Pascal McConnell this goalkeeper should be banned for life, It was an off the ball incident and it warranted an instant red card. I have seen more movement out of the ballinspiddal statue than the Umpires who witnessed the incident, unless they were asleep, they say the incident and the referee should have made an example of this carry on and sent him off.

Kerry had two goal opportunities, A Kerry player were running in during the second half on two occasions and of course he were being harassed as soon as they got the ball, what does my idiot Mr. Monahan do ? He gives Kerry a free in, While the rules states he can allow advantage to punish the opponents, Kerry ended up with one point out of these two incidents, had the referee been fair as he was supposed to Kerry would have scored two goals.

I wonder what company makes Michael Monahan’s watch? I must avoid them for my timekeeping as they are idiotic like Michael himself. The result would be much different had he played the 4th minute as the rules require him to. Will Mickey Hart and his team even offer Kerry a replay, like Ger Loughnane, (a true sportsman) offered Offaly in 1998, I don’t think so.

I would not even go to such a game, if the same Tyrone supporters I encountered were there again anyway, (In Kerry we have an old saying, “you learn a lot by travelling”) This I most certainly did, Having never been to Northern Ireland except crossing the border into Fermanagh during 2000. I do hope that Tyrone people do not behave as they did yesterday in Croke park at home normally, (if they do it explains a lot of the northern troubles to me) I was spat at coming out of the Hogan stand as was a friend of mine, (despite they beating us) the levels of abuse and hooliganism I experienced during those 2 and a half hours were incomprehensible to me. I think that this is related to the new licenses to sell alcohol in Croke park, because I found Tyrone people to be grand supporters during our 2003 semi-final with them. I heard of Dublin people acting this way when Kerry hammered them during the 70’s and 80’s but never when Kerry had lost. I humbly said a great game and best of luck, to two Tyrone fellas and did I get a commiserations (as Armagh gave in 2002 in all fairness) I got a “hogger” into my face, I never felt more disgusted in all my life, retaliation was not the answer I thought, Connolly train station was.

Basically my point is Tyrone did not deserve Sam yesterday, the referee was lacking brain cells and Tyrone supporters have changed a lot since 2003. Oh man the joys of being a Kerry Supporter ! :(

    Regards netwhizkid.

I only read the first paragraph of your post NWK but it was enough. Kerry were beaten by a better team on the day. I did not think Tyrone could have kept that work rate going for the entire game but they did and it was very impressive. Both Jack O Connor and Ger O Keeffe agreed Tyrone were worth their win on the day. Grow up and stop sulking!

I was there yesterday and have to agree with Waylander, the better team won. There were dubious decisions alright but they went both ways and that is just how competitive sport is. And remember, we'll be there or there abouts next year and have an immortal (and frankly untouchable) legacy, so it ain't all bad!

I suggest that the tripe above be locked before it degenerates into even more trouble on this board.

And to think that I always thought Kerry fans were genuine, sporting folk. Posts like the above, and the one from tinkerbell on another thread, are making me rethink this.

Kerry were beaten by a better team. Just go home and accept it, like Mayo did last year, Galway did in 2000 and Mayo did in '97.

    Absolutely spot on.

Grow up netwhizkid, the better team won, and whats more there are very few genuine fans for either side that share such a childish defensive view of the defeat such as yourself

First of all hats off to both teams for serving up a classic final best game that has been seen in Croke Park for an awful long time. First of all you guys seem to be quick to forget Cooper nearly taking an opponents head off in one of the games this year. Also there seemed to be a lot of high tackles by both teams but more so on the Kerry side, Kirby nearly took 2 guys out in the same incident and then O'Sullivan wouldn't let Canavan's jersey go until Mulligan grabbed him by the throat. Do agree that the umpires were completely useless.

Thought the overall level of play and scores from both sides was phenomenal, Canavan’s goal some of coopers point and Dooher's score from all of 50 meters were fantastic to watch as a neutral and I felt Tyrone's work rate the whole way true the game was breathtaking, Brian Dooher and Cavanagh looked like they could have played another game I've never seen two men cover so much ground and it's probably what won them the game as for an extra minute don't think it would have made much difference Tyrone were well in control and had slowed the play down and didn't look like they were going to give up another goal.

For an amateur game it wasn't half bad!

Now you are just making yourself come across as an immature petty child, and talking like that about Macanallen without any kind of evidence to back you up is both shameful and sickening. Kerry are a great team, but lost out on the day to a better team. Get over it, and stop talking like that or you will find yourself in allot of ttrouble.

And until there is well, you can be drawing your own conclusions, What did Cormac McAnallen die from again ? Wasn't it something to do with his heart supposedly.

you deserved a lot more than a 'hogger' in the face for a comment like that. WUM surely. No one can be this immature.

NetWhizkid - grow up or stop posting on the Internet.
Kerry were beaten fair and Square by the better team.
We can all go on about games where decisions don't always go our way. As a Mayo man I can tell you that in many games particularly the first Semi against Fermanagh last year was a case in point, and a number of calls in the final) but you take your beatings and you have to accept it. If you don't get the 50:50 calls then you just don't get them. Simple as that, and the scoreboard will reflect the eventual winner.

I seriously though Kerry were unbeatable before the game, but was proven wrong, and Tyrone were magnificent on the day.

    There's always next year.

a lot of people yesterday was also commenting along the lines of these two posts. However, simple conclusions were drawn, Is the GAA drugs tested? I have never heard of it. And until there is well, you can be drawing your own conclusions, What did Cormac McAnallen die from again ? Wasn't it something to do with his heart supposedly. I am sure he would have played yesterday if he was alive.

All I can say is that I hope you are an immature child. Cormac McAnallen died of a rare condition that one in 10,000 people get.

He was not on drugs. I knew a player who dropped dead on at an U14 game, do you think he was on drugs?

Get away from this site. I've contacted the mods and I would hope you are banned for good.

Typical Kerry Person who started this thread.....

Netwizkid ....go back to kerry for another year...that one trip out of the county has surely gone to your head...

Is it any wonder that the whole country was rooting for tyrone yesterday...after reading a post like this kerry people are to become more unpopular every year!

Can you not just admit for once that Kerry were "NOT" the better team

Firstly let me say that the post from netwhizkid is by far the most pathetic post I have ever seen on any of these boards.
Kerry were not robbed yesterday (or anyother day) they were beaten by a better team.

As for the post above, I disagree that 'the whole country were rooting for Tyrone'. I for one as a Mayo man will never root for Tyrone, or Armagh for that matter, as long as they continue to server up the physical, negitave, defensive football that has made them so strong in the past few years, the same football that was thankfully absent from yesterdays game.

I also don't see Kerry people becoming more unpopular every year, I know many many Kerry folk and sentiments like those of netwhizkid are rare to say the least amonghts the Kerry people I have talked to.

tyrone were playing brilliant all season and deserved to win i thought it was a fairly rough game and the colm cooper incident was just ridiculus i mean if this was any other sport people would have a ban on their hands but still kirby did even the score decking two tyrone players, i myself are from kerry and i thought even though kerry were a good team tyrone were just that bit better, woulda been a closer match if the ref wasnt a bit more one sided but in the end tyrone DESERVED to win and they did so stop sulking.

First of all Netwhizkid you are one serious ****ing wanker with a comment like that.
Tyrone have played nothing but good football this year, having been at both dublin v tyrone games i can also say their supporters are second to none.
If kerry had played football yesterday rather than raining high ball in on top of cooper they may well have won the game. The kerry lads were just as dirty as the tyrone lads so you can't complain about that either. The best team won accept it !

I've contacted Kaimera about this. Can you imagine if a friend or relative of Cormac McAnallen stumbled across these comments? I know how much they angered me.

Even if if they were made by an immature child, an immature child should know better.

Hopefully he's banned from the site for good.
