There's a sticky thread "Looking for where to learn German"

    As I posted there:

The "Deutsche Welle" offers good German courses - you can download textbooks and audio files for free:

Or try to find a German penpal or tandem-partner :)

hello, sorry, i have read through that sticky many times before so i must have missed your post.

My girlfriend is german and she has just moved back to germnay so its time for me to open some books and get reading.

Ill have a look at that link. Today i was looking around and its overwhelming the amount of books and courses you can do on your own. I wouldnt know why to pick 1 course over another but ill have a look at your link.

    Danke
