In Galway it means you've got planning but conditions are imposed, e.g. type of sewage treatment, distance back from the road, finish on house, boundaries etc, we ended up getting 17 conditions on our planning permission. You also have to wait a month to get final planning permission (C3 form I think), then submit a commencment of building works two weeks before the start of the build.

That's correct, You have to build to all the conditions laid out.You can build afer a month and ensure that you submit your intention to build...Congrats on permission, permission is like gold dust these days.

it is on land thats zoned agricultural, which is where everyone wants to build because its nearly free at 12000 euro an acre but society doesnt because its unserviced and thus unviable however planning is virtually gauranteed on land zoned residential, but then u dont get nothing for nothing there in that its incredibly dear.
