:( I have a 1999 Citroen Saxo. It has done about 80,000 miles and cuts out when I come to a halt at junctions, etc. I have had it in garages but they do not seem to be able to fix the problem. Any have a similar problem? How did you fix it?

    Dennis

I'd say its a fuel problem, is it fuel injection or carb. ?

idle control, or dodgy lambda sensor on exhaust (known issue)

Throttle stepper motor if it has one i know some of the citroens have them and thats the symptom for it when it goes bad, on my 106 when it happened it turned out to be the coil pack that was gone so could also be that.

Does it immediately start and does this engine have an EGR.
Was the O2 sensor ever changed in it or how many miles on the sensor.

Any other problems and have the garage been able to collect any diagnostic codes?.
