What's the longest you've went without a bath or shower?

Well i'm nearly at the end of my second week and I'm not smelling too bad. Keeping my clothes clean helps but I haven't been doing that either. I'm still going strong. Starting to develope a bit of a rash round the neckline and waist which is worrying.
I think my lack of respect for hygiene started in secondary school where you have to change for PE class and take communal showers naked with no privacy. I'm real shy about anybody seeing me naked except my mother, my sisters, and my best friend.

My record though would have been about 7 years ago. I didn't shower or bath for about 5 weeks. It was summer as well. A young girl that caught Pigheads eye one Sunday afternoon would come round to my smelly little room for hugs and kisses and I would ask her if I smelled. She'd always say 'you smell great Pighead!'. That did it for me!

I can be a bit of a snob about things barr personal hygene. Look I can't even spell the word.
What about all my buddies out there, have a vote and let nosy Pighead know how clean/dirty you are

The longest I've gone is probably a week or something. That was when I was camping though. But even then I'd have swims and the like.
    Ya smelly yoke.

How the hell do you now smell. You must do many activities, just sit around all the time...?
Or you just dnt sweat much :confused:

Pig. Euw. That's worse than an ex of mine and you could smell him coming a mile off!
The longest I ever went is about a week but I was really sick, and couldn't move form my bed/sofa....

Yet you still went out with the smelly ****er.... I'll never understand women. I shower at least once a day, twice if I go out at night.

I don't hold with all this washing lark! And as for men using cosmetics like toothpaste and the other stuff, well, it's unnatural...

Ah c'mon Le Rack don't be like that.We all sweat. It's nature's way of keeping us from over-heating. The stinky bit only kicks in when sweat on the skin is broken down by bacteria, but that doesn't make Pighead "dirty" or "unclean".
In fact its well known increased hygiene and a lack of exposure to various microorganisms may be affecting the immune systems of many populations - particularly in highly developed counties like Louth - to the degree that individuals are losing their bodily ability to fight off certain diseases.

*quickly sprays thread in several anti-bacterial, lemony smelling cleaning products*

    *turns hose on Pighead*

    :D

I've gone for a fair while whilst laid up with a smashed limb...sponge baths don't really count.
Normally 3-4 times a week, unless I've been doing something that gets me particularly dirty at work....
Anything more than that is obsessive IMO....these people that shower twice a day and 3 times on saturdays just annoy the hell out of me.

Longest I have gone with out a shower was about 4 days. That was while working at a summer camp in the states. Kinda becomes normal there :)

Have you noticed how many bottles of hand sanitizers, soaps, wipes, and even lotions bear the lable "antibacterial"? I think that we as a nation have gotten a bit too hygenic. I don't like to preach, but its Sunday and i have to spread the Message. Here are two reasons as to why this is a problem:
Our hands need some bacteria on them, just like out body needs some carbs.
By using antibacterial stuff constantly bacteria is becoming more resistant. This is bad because we don't want to end up with a bunch of bacteria that we have no way to deal with.
    Save water,shower weekly

    I prefer:
"Save water, shower with a friend"

Agreed on the antibacterial phenomenon, but in fairness it's industry not consumer lead...we were all happy with good old soap and water a decade ago, then the likes of Lever and the rest decided they needed new product lines and revenue generators and dazzled women (lets be honest here) with ads for crap that they don't really need.
Certain ad campaigns use scare tactics, implying that you're harming your kids by not having a meticulously sanitised kitchen/baathroom/whatever.

I don't know about you but when I was young I played in the dirty streets and back gardens with my friends....sure we caught colds and all those childhood bugs but we're all still alive...we're not suffering with leprosy or river blindness or anything else that I'm aware of....and more to the point we're not asthmatic or in posession of any of the other litany of modern allergies.
Kids need to be dirty, to build strong immune systems....any doctor will tell you that.

Every two days normally. I'm just back from barcalona, which was quite warm, so I was showering twice a day over there,

    In recent memory...

4 days with kilometres of walking, carrying, other physical activities and a metal festival in there too. Getting on a plane after 4 days of not washing, covered in dirt, the airhostess gave me a look that sorta said "Homeless people don't usually get this far" and asked me for my passport!

The water went brown with dirt when I finally had a shower after that...

Personally, longest I've gone was 3 days while camping, but had swims during those three days so I guess its not that bad.
Shower once a day, twice if I'm heading out at night.

well since my job entails me to sweat like mad, i have one in the morning and one at night, i once went without a shower for 4 days buts thats because it was a easy week, work wise.
Some people can go without a shower for a few days without stinking, but there are those who dont wash at all, and smell so bad, so bad that id rather smell a week old dead cat tbh.

Longest would have been about a week for me, but I was very ill in hospital.
I couldn't sit still all day if i were "dirty"

I hate not having a shower.

Sorry pighead but I cant resist a daily warm power shower(the one where the water hits you like needles) with my Orange and lemon moulton brown shower gel and Cucumber shampoo conditioner.
If it's in the evening a nice shave beforehand and a quick splash of aqua and voila.

The pumped shower with maybe 15 bar pressure is such a joy,I could stay under it for 15 or 20 minutes.
Theres nowt as healthy as clean running water.

he was a good guy, just a bit grubby round the edges, to be polite...and he had a drug and alcohol problem so that didn't help but he did actually care for me and scrubbed up a bit for me...

longest I ever went was for about 3/4 days I think 2 years ago when I was very ill. I can't remember the last time that I went a day without having a shower?

I'll normally have a shower when I get up to wake me up and get me ready for the day ahead and then another one in the evening after the gym/swimming along with a stint in the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi most days :) So I super clean.

On a side note, I used to live with a guy that had a shower every 2 weeks and even then wore the same clothes for even longer! The bang of him was funky to say the least.

Pighead mightn't shower much but when he does he makes it an occasion to remember.Heres how i make myself clean again
Take off clothing whilst sitting on edge of bed, leave in a pile.
Strut nakedly to my lovely bathroom.
If I see my girly flatmates on the way, i'll shake my strong hips at them and make woo-hoo sound.
Look at manly physique in mirror.
Admire my impressive manhood and scratch my flabby bum bum.
    Get in the shower.
    Wash my handsome face.
    Wash your armpits.
Blow nose into my hands and let water rinse them off.
Spend majority of time washing privates and surrounding area.
    Shampoo hair.
    Make shampoo Mohawk.
    Pee.
Rinse off and get out of shower.
Partially dry off, fail to notice water on the floor.
Admire impressive manhood in the mirror again.
Leave shower door open, wet mat on floor, light and fan on.
Return to bedroom with towel around waist.
If I pass the girlies again pull off towel, shake hips at her and make woo-hoo noises again.
Throw wet towel on bed... and leave it there!

At least one shower a day, some days twice. HAvent had a bath though in years tbh. Prefer the quick auld shower

Longest I've gone is probably 5 or 6 days. Felt f**king horrible after 3, but I couldn't seem to get to a working shower during that time! Twas a pretty long time ago tbh.

In the normal run of things, I shower every coupla days, depending on whether I'm out to impress or just barely maintain cleanliness, tbh...

Longest I've gone is about 3 days I reckon but I was sick and moving from my comfortable couch was not high on my list of priorities.

Couldn't wait to get into the shower after it. You could have buttered a couch with my hair.

With the Moderators permission i'm going to slightly veer this thread to the left and discuss my bathing habits, have you ever plugged the drain of your tub and then turned on the shower head and sat beneath to streaming water. It's not a bath, it's not a shower, it's a little bit of both ... and kind of like sitting in a pool of warm water with a hard warm rain coming down on you ... I don't get to do this more than once or twice a month ... but I think it feels great.

Anyway grimloch i was just wondering does your shower have a fixed head or is it one of those removeable hose showers?

Mine's one of the ones that is usually mounted on the wall but can be taken down should I so wish.

Unfortunately my shower unit isn't big enough to facilitate Pigheads idea.

Shower every day if I can. Horrible feeling when you sweat and your balls start to stick to your boxers!

Poll kind of contradicts the topic.

I usually have a shower every 3 or so days, though there have been times at college it shifted to only once a week, when I was suffering from really bad depression. I still washed and wore lots of deodorant though. I don't have a sense of smell so it's difficult to tell. I usually wash sweat off when I get it with a wet towel. I think that people overreact with "ews" to showers, and some people aren't being honest. It's probably best to have one everyday, but I hate being naked except in bed.

Longest I've gone is very almost 2 weeks, but I did still wash myself all over so I'm not sure that counts.

Longest I've gone would be about a week when I was really ill.

I always shower once a day no matter what, and this sometimes means getting up at 6am. Also in recent times we had no electricity, so I had to sponge myself in a stone cold bath in the dark at 6.30am

I hate dirt. I'm kinda obsessive about being clean...
