Dum machine/Metronome

I reckon I need a metronome after years of dodgy timing. So a quick check on ebay shows lots of pretty cheap ones around...talking from 15 to 40 or so... So then I accidently came across a few boss drum machines for about 30 quid. So drum machine of metronome? TBH metronomes have always irritated me with that cheapo beeping but I've no idea on drum machines. I'm presuming that they can be set to more or less 40 to 200 bpms right?

    What say you?

Don't bother splashing out on anything yet, download Weird Metronome instead. That's what I use, and it's brilliant, very easy to work, you can use all kinds of different percussion sound effects and set it from a simple click to a 4/4 beat, or a custom beat. Extremely handy altogether.

Cheers karl. I already got that from one of your posts before but i'm too lazy to get the laptop & boot it up every time I want to practice for a few minutes (when you have kids you'll understand that free time comes few & far between  )...anyhow 30 or 40 quid won't break the bank!

Ah ok, I usually have my PC on a lot, so it's the handiest for me.

Nah, if I have the laptop on, I usually buy stuff on ebay so it's dangerous :D . Besides after all day working in IT, sometimes is nice to go back to valves and tick-tocks and stuff...

The KA 30 or something? Pretty cheap. I like it!
