mediawrite are the best irish seller of dvd blanks , but steer clear of the cheaper stuff they have , the best r+ are the verbatim r+ and the fuji r+(they are rebranded taiyo yuden ,the best of the best)are about 14 euros for 25 ,if you want to "back up" important data cheap discs are a false economy

A note of warning about IT-Direct. I recently bought a bad batch of BenQ DVD-R 8x DVD's that can't be read in any burner I've tried and IT-Direct refused to refund or replace them with another batch\brand. I have always bought blank media from there and have never had any problems (nearly always bought Memorex brand before) and expected more than to be told by their condescending salesperson "we don't take returns on consumables" over & over again with the veiled inference being that I hadn't known what I was doing when I had tried to burn them. For the sake of a purchase of less than €13 it's appalling customer service & I wouldn't go there again, especially as I am sure there are suppliers who will do returns if you are unfortunate enough to get landed with a batch of bad media.

I wouldn't buy anything in ITDirect simply because of their returns policy

I recommend Datawrite or Datasafe discs from this site. Great value, excellent quality.
