Java, Help

    I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem, I am running XP pro with sp2, when I upgrade my Java to version 1.5.0 from version 1.4.2 any sites I go to that run java application like http://www.irishisptest.com/ all I get is the Java window with an X in a box in the top left hand side.

    I have tried all the different setting in Internet explorer and even uninstall and reinstalling it, I do get the Java icon in the task bar but thats about it.
    All I could do was reinstall version 1.4.2 but some sites want me to upgrade to the latest version and won't run till I do so.

    Any help would be great

    Enable the java console and then try and run the java app and see what error you get. I'm running 1.5 and it works fine. You could try adding -Xmx256m to java applet runtime settings in the java control panel. Usually a caching problem from what I have experienced.
