Paddy Power High Stakes

    There is a tournament on at the moment on Paddy Power, and its a quarter past six in the morning. There are 256 entrants. Its free to enter and the top 27 get paid. I may be seeing things as I am coming to the end of a 12 hour session, but this is very very odd.

    First place gets paid $1.35.......10th place gets paid $0.07...yes thats 7 cents, you get past 246 competitors.....AT HALF SIX IN THE MORNING!!!...and you get 7 cents......27th place gets $0.05.....5 cents.....27th place gets 5 cents......so there probably isnt much point in hanging around and trying to sneak into the top ten, you might as well go for the final table ....after all its ony an extra 2 cents between 10th and 27th...

    You honestly couldnt make up this malarky in a cartoon......

    MAD!!!!!!!

    yeah its free but for some reason my heart sinks every time i see these mtt's going on. winning must be like picking the correct lotto numbers but forgetting to do it. one has a choice i suppose.

    Ntlbell I think he was surprised that people would be bothered about that kind of prize money at that hour of the morning. RmcG, there is also an American tribeca server in Doyles room so most of the players were probably Americans where it would have been 5 or 6 hours earlier.

    Aye, the reason I asked was, the majority of people on PPP don't seem to be in GMT so the time of day doesn't really come into it,

    LOL i just won a MTT tournament on Paddy Power just this minute....163 runners. Paddy Powers rocks lol. hehehe
