Lupoli showed lightning pace on the left flank on an Arsenal counter-attack. With no support around him the Italian had to go it alone and, having beaten two men, Lupoli was upended in the box by a third. The referee signalled for a spot-kick and Lupoli got up to complete his second hat-trick of the season with the minimum of fuss.
Who does he think he is, Henry? ;)

7 goals in 5 reserve starts this season for the 18 year old, bringing his reserve strike rate to nearly a goal a game since he joined last year. Meanwhile his strike partner, the 6ft3, 17 year old Dane Nicklas Bendtner also has 7 goals in 4 starts and 2 subs, along with 4 goals in 3 U-18 games. Haven't seen much of Bendtner but he seems a bright prospect, particularily considering he could offer something very different to what Arsenal usually have.
Time and again the Dutch under-21 international (Quincy) picked up the ball on the left wing and ran at pace at the visitors’ back line, skipping past Pompey defenders at will — sometimes two or three at a time.

Unfortunately for Quincy, his end product was missing, otherwise Arsenal may have scored five in the first half alone.
He'll replace Pires by the end of the season, IMO. Also, Ryan Smith seems to returning to the form he showed prior to his horrible injury, which will please Wenger because he seems to really rate him.

Arsenal may have a mini injury crisis for the West Ham game with Henry, Bergkamp, Pires and Ljungberg all potentially out - which would likely see Quincy start with Lupoli on the bench. I wonder if either of them will make the breakthrough like Fabregas did last year - I hope so, they are both incredibly exciting players.

Lupoli deserves to be at least on the bench at this stage.

Matthew Connolly has declared for Ireland btw. Stephen O'Donnoll was released though. Still Connolly, Kelly, Cregg and Stokes at Arsenal isn't bad.

Here's the highlights of the Ipswich match which Lupoli scored his first hattrick:

Connolly is supposed to be a pretty good CB. Tall and comfortable on the ball.

Lupoli played well in the Amsterdam tour and needs more first team games

Last one I remember was the Sheff utd Cup tie and was out of sorts

Would like to see Quincy and Lupoli on the bench for the hammers game as htey have the potential

Anyone have any live feeds ?

I was at that tournament in Amsterdam, and every time Lupoli came on, he looked dangerous. Its only a matter of time before he starts on the bench for league game.
He reminds of me Michael Owen....

David McGoldrick for Southampton u18's / reserves.

14 goals in 7 games. One of the coolest finishers I've seen in a long time. Don't say I didn't warn you.

    He's the new Theo Walcott...

Whatever happened to that chap who they heralded as the next big thing last year, with the mad name
    Dexter Blackstock, i think anyways

Every club always has a next 'big thing' coming through. Fact is that they shouldn't be praised until they've made the breakthrough.

He's still there. Scored for us in the Carling Cup (His specialist subject) earlier in the season.
